Wales Residential

Wales Residential

In June we took 18 children on a 3 day residential in Wales, first shock was no TV or RADIO and bad reception for mobile phones.

The children had to work in groups to complete tasks because the adults only cooked or helped as little as possible because this was a team building exercise and the children rose to the occasion, helping to prepare food, washing up (boys included), assembling barbacue and gazebo, making beds and cleaning.

They all went in to Corris Village to King Arthurs Labarinth, a system of tunnel into the Welsh Mountains with a show at the end of each tunnel telling the story of King Arthur.

All the children had a good time despite the fact that we had sheep in the garden and in the field surrounding the cottage and airplanes fly low all day, everyday. No one complained that they had missed the techknowledgey that we all rely on so much these days.
